Test inventory
This is the audit queue for Rapid Software Testing in Butter. It inventories declarations by source file rather than treating a green test command as evidence that the intended model, backend, or lifecycle ran. Audit findings and focused repair PRs are tracked in issue #423.
The current tree contains 2535 Swift Testing declarations across 367 files and 623 Rust test/kernel declarations across 163 files. Parameterized tests may expand into several cases at runtime, so declaration counts are not execution counts.
Regenerate this file from the repository root:

During an audit, corroborate each row with the selected Swift/Cargo lane, exact checkpoint, backend and device, executed and skipped counts, and a known-bad mutation. A declaration is not considered audited merely because it appears here.
Status vocabulary
Section titled โStatus vocabularyโqueued: declaration and execution reachability have not been audited.auditing: a focused RST session is in progress.strong: claim, production reachability, independent oracle, and a realistic known-bad mutation are demonstrated.repair: the current check is weak, false-green, redundant, or exposes a product defect; link the repairing PR in place of this state.blocked: required hardware, checkpoint, fixture, or observability is absent. The boundary column names that missing evidence per file.
Boundary codes are checkpoint-fixture (model weights or captured tensors),
backend-device (a non-local accelerator/backend), performance-baseline
(no pinned threshold or same-machine baseline), and distributed-hardware
(the required multi-device topology is absent).

Completed audit classification
Section titled โCompleted audit classificationโEvery inventory row is now classified: 314 strong and 216 blocked, with no rows left queued. The blocked ledger is complete: 118 checkpoint/fixture, 89 backend-device, 8 performance-baseline, and 1 distributed-hardware boundaries. Classification is deliberately file-wide: a mixed file remains blocked when any declaration still requires unavailable hardware or a checkpoint, is an opt-in performance campaign without a committed threshold, or lacks the observability needed to prove its claim.
The always-on Swift and Rust surfaces were replayed from isolated worktrees. Strong rows own an asserted value, protocol, state, snapshot, structural, or independent CPU/reference oracle. Hardware and checkpoint campaigns now use explicit gates: an ordinary lane reports them as ignored, while deliberate selection fails closed when the prerequisite is absent. Missing CUDA or Vulkan hardware, model artifacts, and production-time budgets are therefore blocked evidence, not green correctness evidence.
Blocked performance rows require an active correctness owner plus a pinned threshold or baseline receipt before promotion. Print-only timing and multi-minute production-shape CPU sweeps remain explicit campaigns even when they are useful diagnostically.

Audit order
Section titled โAudit orderโ- Prove the renderer recognizes known Swift and Rust declarations and fails visibly if a new declaration form is introduced.
- Audit registration, filtering, environment gates, skip accounting, and CI lane reachability.
- Audit kernel-wrapper and component CPU oracles before model coherence.
- Audit loaders, quantization, model graph, KV/recurrent state, and sampling.
- Audit scheduler, cancellation, serving, graph lifetime, and concurrency.
- Audit model/checkpoint integration and performance only after their component and lifecycle owners.
For each focused PR, apply the Atlas questions: exact claim, production setup reachability, oracle relevance, realistic mutant survival, and redundancy with a stronger owner. If the repaired test exposes a product defect, fix that defect in the same PR.
